Longhampton Signal changes

The line leading out from Longhampton Halt up to the main line at Longhampton bridge had signalling issues. This came about because the station pilot is now housed just under the bridge outside the gas and tar works entrances. Signal control now is needed in both directions as a result. The existing signal shown below, will be replaced with a junction signal. Currently there is no signal to protect the entrance to the main line!

 

The old signal will take up a new position in the reverse direction. Roughly in this position:

I have designed a servo bracket for the junction signal as shown here:

Here are the servos in place on the bracket:-

The signal is now fixed into its new position and guards the approach to the junction line,

The next part of this project is to build and site the new junction signal where the single shunting signal was.

The double servo plate was attached to the base of the junction signal and secured in place and is now working as shown here:
